Stroboscopic angle cover with stepping motor - has discs on motor shaft and second rotating shaft and fixed reference disc

An angle measuring device works using a stroboscopic method. The measuring system is completely contact free and performs an analogue determination of any angle between 0 and 360deg. A stepping motor (1) drives a first stroboscopic disc (2) with a slit which passes in front of the slit (5.1) in a fixed reference disc (5). There is a second disc rotating disc (3) connected to an input shaft (4). A lamp (6) is positioned to shine light through the slits in the discs. There are two photocells. The first (7) is set to receive light shining through the two rotating discs. The second photocell (8) is arranged to receive light shining through the first rotating disc (2) and the fixed disc (5).
