The motor rotor (3) is separated from the stator (1) pole shoes (1a, 1b) by a uniform air gap in order to simplify the construction and assembly. In order to ensure that, in the de-excited state, the rotor always takes up a known fixed position the reluctance of the pole shoes is altered locally. For example, sections of the pole iron (5) may be cut away. The required magnetic asymmetry may alternatively be set up by providing local areas of low reluctance, for example by the addition of narrow ferromagnetic plates. These are placed to locally reduce the air gap once the rotor has been assembled. The advantage of this construction is that the rotor stationary position can be finely adjusted.
|
