The culvert structure is constructed by open-cut working. Before the inner surface of the plate pipe is lined with a concrete layer of several cm, it is necessary to wait at least twice as long as required for half of the change in the inside diameter of the pipe to occur, which change can be expected overall under the load of the fill material. The concrete layer is preferably applied by spraying and a structural steel lattice can be installed here.
