The tweezers assembly consists of a case and two arms, extending from the case, with jaws to grip the hair. After they have gripped the hair, the arms are retracted automatically into the case. The jaws are closed by a cylinder which fits over the case and slides along it. The arms are closed by a cam and pin mechanism passing through holes in each arm. A projection on the arms extends through the case and is moved by the cylinder. The arms are retracted by a spring, in the case, attached to a disc moved by the cylinder.
