The drier is used for drying for carpets and upholstered furniture. It is used for objects made at least partly of textile fabrics especially after a cleaning process. No special drying chambers are used and the energy consumption on drying is kept low. The drying process is relatively fast and carpets are not suspended which can damage them. A housing (3) is placed above the object to be dried. The housing circumferential edges are closed and the housing has a heating blower with air inlet and air outlet. The lower edges (5) are sealed for accommodating the object to be dried by sealing lips (6) made of plastics or rubber. The housing has wheels (8) for lateral displacement.
