<p>The vehicle fuel system includes a pipe (6) whose inlet is positioned close to the bottom of the fuel tank (5). This pipe delivers fuel to a pump (9) via chamber (7), the latter being coupled to a pipe (10) discharging into the engine intake manifold (2). The inlet to pipe (10) is controlled by a stop valve (11). Alternatively, the vacuum of chamber of a brake force amplifier may be used as a low pressure source, the inlet valve to a pipe coupled to this chamber being provided with a stop valve. The system ensues an adequate fuel supply to the engine with a low volume in the tank.</p> |
