The ventilated light fitting consisting of a lower housing fitted with a lamp and two reflectors which is supported by a pipe-shaped ventilator. An intermediate space is provided between the lower end of the ventilating line and the lower housing allowing the passage of air with a ventilating socket fitted to the upper end of the upper housing. A halogen metal vapour lamp (4) is used as the light source in the lower housing (1) connected to the ventilator (9) with as starter (11) located inside the ventilating pipe (9).
