The lifting mechanism is for compartments of reinforced concrete, particularly prefabricated garages. A supporting frame is inserted in the garage, rams being adjustable sideways and lockable to the floor. The rams actuate jacking feet extended through holes in the floor. Each ram has one or more abutments and a bush inserted and locked in the floor opening, through which the jacking feet pass. Hooks on the bush ends protruding into the garage fit over the abutments. The abutments can be trunnions extending on opposite sides of the rams at right angles to their working direction, while the hooks are formed by slots, open at one side, in brackets mounted on the bush end flanges.
