The hollow prefabricated-construction block exhibiting the form of at least two axially parallel hollow cylinders has a continuous, planar surface (5) on one longitudinal side, while the form of the hollow cylinders remains intact on the opposite side. The wall (15), forming surface (5), merges on its underside into individual teeth (14). By means of the latter, the prefabricated-construction block, which is used, in particular, for stabilising steep embankments, can thus be placed on an underlying, similar block such that its teeth (14) rest against the surface (5) of said lower block, with the result that the upper block is anchored on the lower block. By arranging the blocks one above the other in an offset manner in the longitudinal direction of the same, a large proportion of the cavities (10, 10', 10'') remains open at the top; the blocks filled with earth may be cultivated with plants, as a result of which they are ultimately concealed by said plants. Semicircular cutouts (22) on the underside of upper blocks form, with cutouts (21) on the upper side of lower blocks, continuous cavities for the roots of the plants. Furthermore, by setting back the wall (15) between the teeth (14), passages for the introduction of earth anchors are obtained. <IMAGE>
