<p>1535484 Polysulphide sealant compositions THIOKOL CORP 10 May 1977 [10 May 1976] 19638/77 Headings C3K C3M and C3R Sealant compositions comprise (1) a curable liquid polysulphide polymer, (2) a butene polymer and (3) a non-acidic oil absorbent filler. The compositions may also contain silane coupling agents, plasticizers, sag and pH control agents, and may be formulated as a two-part composition or when the butene polymer is used as a latex, oxidative curing agents may be incorporated in a one-part formulation. Suitable curing agents are manganese dioxide and lead dioxide, optionally with p-quinone dioxime or t.butyl perbenzoate. The compositions have improved adhesion to glass in the presence of moisture and U.V. light.</p> |
