<p>Primer compsn. for application to polyolefin foam to improve adhesion of a vinyl resin coating, consists of a chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent contg. (A) a chlorinated paraffin wax, (B) an acrylic ester, and/or (C) a vinyl copolymer. Pref. >=2 (A) (B) and (C) are present, with a total content of 2-10, pref. around 5 wt. %. The solvent is 1,1,1-trichlorethane. Compsn. can be used in impact-absorbing mats, e.g. for gymnastics, wall-coverings, panels, etc. Excellent adhesion of obtd., allowing handling within a few hrs. and rolling-up within 12 h. Resistant of prolonged storage or transport at =77 degrees C. Application of the primer is simple, e.g. by spraying, followed by brief dring at room temp.</p> |
