<p>Improvements of an apparatus for continuously producing a sheet shaped product from polymerizable liquid raw material are disclosed by using confronting upper and lower endless belts. In one of the improvements, a feeding means for feeding the liquid raw material into the apparatus comprise at least a liquid raw material feeding device detachably mounted on a carrier engaged with a part of the apparatus. The carrier has means for mounting the feeding device thereon whereby the feeding device is always prevented from coming into contact with the upper and lower endless belts. In the other improvement, the apparatus is provided with means for continuously feeding gaskets from the stock into the apparatus in order to seal the side openings of the space between the endless belts, at the speed substantially same as the running speed of the endless belts. The gasket feeding means comprises a heater through which the sealing gaskets pass prior to being fed into the apparatus while undergoing heating whereby residual stress present in the sealing gaskets is removed, and deformation of the sealing gaskets is eliminated.</p> |
