Binary coded data is transmitted using either electronic or optical pulses, the data being supplied in the form of '0' '0's and 1's and in series. The system allows communication between assemblies and sub-assemblies. The data is transmitted in pulses having differing time durations and constant amplitude. Zeros may be represented by pulses having a duration of t/3 where t = the cyclic period and a binary "1" is represented by a duration of 2t/3. Processing consists of differentiation of the input pulse train, removal of the negative going spike, shaping of the positive spike, phase shifting by t/2 of this spike and finally comparison with the original signal.
|
