The object of this device is to increase the strength of strongbox compartments in a simple and cost-effective manner. It closes the compartment by means of a door with a lock, the bolt of which interacts with a projection on a wall of the compartment to be closed. The projection consists of the rim (8) of a reinforcement part (9) affixed to the said wall and the bolt is a lock bolt (4) having, on its face opposite the said wall, a housing (7) suitable for receiving the said rim in the projecting position of the bolt. <IMAGE>
