1534557 Electronic timepieces DAINI SEIKOSHA KK 10 Nov 1976 [11 Nov 1975] 46802/76 Heading G3T An electronic timepiece has facility for selectively indicating on the same set of digital display devices, the time in any one of two different time zones, the first (e.g. GMT) on a 12-hour clock basis and the second on a 24-hour clock basis. In Fig. 1 time counting means 3 includes a 12 hour counter 6 while counting means 7 includes a 24-hour counter 10. A selecting circuit 15 inlcudes a flip-flop (32) Fig. 4 (not shown) which is set and reset on alternate closures of a manual switch (29). The flip-flop outputs at 15A, 15B control respective sets of transmission gates (detailed Fig. 6 not shown) in secs, mins and hours gate circuits 12, 13, 14 to signal the contents of either one of the counting means 3, 7 to a decoderdriver 16 for display on a 7-segment type numeric display 17. A frequency divider 2 derives 1 Hz timing signals from the output of a crystal controlled oscillator. A circuit 11 (not described) is for setting. |
