If the rolling bearing seizes, the surface of the fusible ring melts and acts as a plain bearing in conjunction with the bearing ring. The bearing ring may be mounted in a supporting ring 6. The fusible ring may be of plastics, and the bearing ring of carbon. The bearing may be used in a rotor control device for a helicopter. |
