<p>A two-piece kit is provided for attaching sheet material, such as polyethylene film, to greenhouses and the like. A rigid, elongated base member is adapted to become secured to a support and includes a channel longitudinally therealong for receiving a portion of the sheet material therein and which also receives a rigid element for holding the material, the element, having a configuration corresponding to that of the channel, the member and the element cooperating to releasably clamp the portion of the material in the channel. The channel combines a convex side wall and a planar side wall; the shape eliminates the usual requirement for spreading apart sides of the channel or contracting the inserted element. Thus, the two basic components of the assembly can be made of a rigid, shaperetaining material such as aluminum extrusion and as such are not subject to aging and undesired deformations on application of extreme stresses such as by winds or on disassembling the kit.</p> |
