The insulating structure comprises a frame supporting plates of insulating material and means for securing them to the frame, being particularly for freezer chambers. The frame is formed at least partly by components of height = the plate thickness. The fixing devices are secured to these components of lesser height, so that the frame does not form a bridge for heat transfer at these points. The components can each have an upright wall of height than the plate thickness, and with recesses in which the fixing devices are secured. There can be a wider portion (6) in the upright wall (10), and which is hollow and has a continuous slot (7) in it.
|
