The following compounds are also prepared: 2- chloro - 4 - cyano - 5 - nitrobenzophenone, 4- acetamino - 2 - chloro - 5 - nitro - (benzoyl chloride and -benzophenone), 4 - benzoyl - 5 - benzylthio-2- nitro - benzoic acid, 4 - benzoyl - 5 - chlorosulphonyl - 2- and -3 - nitro - benzoic acids, n-butyl 3 - amino - 4 - benzyl - 5 - sulphamoylbenzoate, 4 - amino - 2 - chloro - 5 - nitrobenzophenone, 5 - amino - 4 - substituted - 3 - nitrobenzoic acids (VI) where the substituent is benzoyl, 4-methylbenzoyl, 2,4-dimethylbenzoyl and 4-chlorobenzoyl, 4 - benzoyl - 5 - chloro - 2 - nitro - benzoic acid, 4 - carbethoxy - 2,6 - dinitro - benzoyl chloride and ethyl 4 - substituted - 3,5 - dinitrobenzoates (and the corresponding free acids) wherein the substituent is as for (VI). |
