A MIMO decoder, which is capable of changing the search range of transport signal vector in accordance with a change of a channel matrix, comprises a generalized inverse matrix calculating part for calculating a Moore-Penrose generalized inverse matrix that can be obtained from a channel matrix indicative of radio wave propagation environment; a search range restricting part for performing a weighting, which is inversely proportional to the square root of a unique value corresponding to each of unique vectors as calculated from the channel matrix, for each of those unique vectors, and for deciding, based on the weighting result, a search range of transport signal vector centered on the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse matrix calculus; and a maximum likelihood estimating part for searching for, based on the search range decided by the search range restricting part, a transport signal vector by use of a maximum likelihood estimation.
|
