Retractable automatic opener with concealable surface for vehicle comprises two plates each formed by screens which fit one inside the other. The plates are inserted in recesses in the roof which forms one central and two end supports, and automatically moved into open and closed positions by a drive mechanism. The last screen is locked to the vehicle body by a locking device. A guide mechanism and drive means allows parallel displacement of the screens in sliding guides into the open closed positions of the plates. The side part of a movable part is covered with polyurethane foam sealing material. The device allows easier manipulation, and provides reduced weight, good sealing and reliable operation, with completely parallel displacement of the screens. |
