FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, mowers mounted rearward of power plant means. ^ SUBSTANCE: front mower has bar and cutter equipped with drive. Bar and cutter are formed from sections pivotally connected with one another for following field surface irregularities. Drive is made in the form of elliptical roller whose plane of rotation coincides with or extends perpendicular to plane of vibration of cutter. Elliptical roller is positioned on central axis of symmetry of mower and is connected to conical transmission and power shaft. Cutter section ends adjoining roller have rounded section and are equipped with roller supports. Return springs are located at cutter section junction sites. Terminating ends of cutter sections are equipped with roller supports. Power shaft is positioned within pipe connected to lateral bracing struts so as to define rigid connection triangle for power plant means. Mower is designed so that additional lateral bar sections and cutter sections may be attached thereto, and is provided with carrier wheels mounted at its ends. ^ EFFECT: light-weight construction and reduced usage of materials for manufacture of mower. ^ 2 dwg |
