An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to widen the viewing angle and decrease the color-shift according to angle at which a display screen is seen, by controlling the tilting of a liquid crystal material through electric field generated by two pairs of electrodes. An LCD comprises a first common electrode(104), an insulating layer(106) formed on the first common electrode, a second common electrode(105) and a pixel electrode(103) formed above the insulating layer, and a liquid crystal material above the pixel electrode and the second common electrode. The liquid crystal material has a tilting controlled by a first electric field between the pixel electrode and the first common electrode and a second electric field between the pixel electrode and the second common electrode. |
