摘要 <p>A method and an apparatus for detecting synchronization of a BCH(Broadcasting CHannel) in an asynchronous mobile communication system are provided to quickly receive broadcasting information in a corresponding cell after decoding the PCCPCH(Primary Common Control Physical Channel) of a neighboring cell or searching the cell in the first stage. A TTI(Transmission Time Interval) synchronization detecting method comprises the following steps of: calculating a zero state path metric and a minimum path metric through ACS(Add-Compare-Select) processing and traceback processing during the decoding of received a BCH(Broadcasting CHannel)(401); performing a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) test for a frame of the decoded BCH(405); checking whether TTI synchronization is detected by using a result obtained by comparing a difference between the zero state path metric and the minimum path metric with a predetermined threshold value and the CRC result(403,407,413); and performing predetermined state transfer operations and count operations for each frame of the BCH received until detecting the TTI synchronization if the TTI synchronization is not detected(411,415,417).</p>
