Plastics scissors component halves - are covered from point to eye with sheet metal coating by a vapour deposition or galvanisation

The right and left hand scissors halves (1, i) are formed from two base components (3) made of plastic. The top surface of the base components (3) is pref. electrically conductive. The two scissor halves (1, 2) are joined by a conventional screw (4). The total surface of the base component (3) is uniformly covered from the point (5) to the lower end of the eye (6) with a metal sheet (7) over 1/u in thickness, vapour deposited or galvanised on to the plastic part (3). At the cutting edges (8) of the two blades (9, 10) of the scissors, the metal sheet (7) is lightly ground. This grinding can be dispensed with if the top surface of the metal sheet (7) has adequate roughness.
