1426282 Brackets GOTAVERKEN AB 27 March 1973 [13 April 1972] 14622/73 Heading A4B [Also in Division El ] A bracket for carrying a working platform on a wall or the side of a ship, comprises a cantilever arm 12 and a supporting strut 13, the arm having at its end a downwardly open box-like member 14 with a slot 19 in its end face, for engaging over a T-section mounting 11 which is secured to a wall 10 with its web 17 vertical and its flange 18 parallel to the wall, and the strut 13 having at its end below the box-like member 14 an abutment 16 for bearing against the wall, the internal width of the box-like member corresponding to that of the flange 18, and the width of the slot corresponding to the thickness of the web 17. Bent pieces of rod 22a, 22b, 23a, 23b are secured to the inner side walls of the box-like member 14 to define passages of appropriate width to receive the flange 18 and web 17 of the mounting 11, the box-like member having a height corresponding to that of the mounting 11. A slidable spring-loaded bolt is mounted on the bracket to project below the boxlike member 14 to retain the mounting 11 therein. |
