The floating dock comprises a number of pontoons (2-7) of which at least some pontoons are pivotably connected to one another to permit relative motion about an horizontal axis (9) at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the dock. The pontoons may be arranged alternately lengthwise and transversely relative to the longitudinal direction of the dock. The transverse pontoons (2, 4, 6) may be provided with upwardly extending wing sections (8) at both ends. Each pontoon may be individually ballasted. Means may b e provided for measuring the draught of each pontoon, the angle of each pontoon to the horizontal and the relative angles between adjacent pontoons. |
