A hybrid automatic repeat request method in a mobile communication system, a receiving method, and a receiving apparatus are provided to use effectively restricted resources by decreasing an amount of control information, which is transmitted from a mobile communication system to a terminal. A receiving apparatus for a hybrid automatic repeat request mobile communication system includes a signal receiver(1101), a data/control information separating unit(1103), a terminal control information separating unit(1105), a terminal data separating unit(1109), and a terminal data receiver(1111). The signal receiver receives and processes a sub packet or control information from a wireless network. The data/control information separating unit separates the data containing the sub packet from the control information from the received signal. The terminal control information separating unit separates terminal control information from the control information and stores the terminal control information on a memory. The terminal data separating unit separates the terminal data from the data from the data/control information separating unit through the stored control information. The terminal data receiver receives and stores the data for the terminal from the terminal data separating unit.
