The shaft coupling for the cutter drive of a combine harvester has a claw coupling which can be transferred into two end positions using telescopic tube sections. A casing ring (20) has an internal diameter (21) which is slightly greater than the outer diameter of the outer tube section (11) and which engages in a recess (22) of the rim (13) of this tube section. A further casing ring (16) has an inner diameter (17), which is slightly greater than the outer diameter of the inner tube section (12) and engages in a first (18) recess of the rim (14) of this tube section. This second casing ring has a recess (19) through which the rim (14) of the inner tube section can pass after turning the casing (15) against the action of a spring (24). The casing ring (16) can be engaged in a further recess (25) of the rim (14), by which the coupling position is defined.
