<p>A mechanical circular saw for cutting slices out of a master capacitor block, is made up from metallised plastics foils. The cutting edge of the teeth of the saw become insulated when heat is generated during the cutting strokes. The teeth of the saw blades are free of burrs. The burr free teeth (3) of the metallic circular blade (1) used in the saw has rounded trailing edges (2). The radius of curvature is approx. 0.025 mm. Both surfaces of the teeth rub tangentially against a metallic wire brush (4). The blade rotates in the direction of the cutting edges, whereas the metallic brush rotates about an axis, which is at right angles to the axis of the blade.</p> |
