PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a display element and trouble of a matrix driver by stopping to input discharge pulses to the matrix driver or by controlling the period of discharge pulses to be longer than a reference pulse width in the case that the discharge pulse period becomes smaller than a preset reference value.
