1534032 Controlling dual fuel engines LANDI DEN HARTOG BV 29 Jan 1976 [7 Feb 1975] 3519/76 Heading F1B A dual-fuel engine has a turbocompressor 24, 22 connected to an intake Venturi pipe 13 through which gaseous fuel is inducted from a pipe 11. Control of the quantity of gaseous fuel supplied to the engine is achieved by operating an air bleed valve 17, 18 which is integral with a liquid fuel injection pump control rod 20. The amount of gaseous fuel supplied is also varied by means of a slide valve 29 which varies the cross-section of the pipe 11 in accordance with the pressure in the engine intake 23 downstream of the compressor 22. |
