1533926 Suspending curtains W J R EDLIN 6 April 1976 [7 April 1975] 13974/76 Heading A4B A curtain suspension element 10 facilitating folding of the curtain comprises an elongate member with one end 11 substantially rigid at the other end 12 flexible, support means 13 at a longitudinal edge of the rigid end 11 to mate with a runner or rail from which the curtain is slidably suspended, and complementary connection means 20, 21 at the opposite ends of the element 10 whereby similar elements 10 may be inter-connected in end to end relation. As shown the support means 13 comprises a spike 14 which may engage a runner or itself provide the runner. Alternatively the support means may comprise an aperture to receive a hook or a spike carried by a runner. As shown the complementary connecting means 20, 21 sockets 20 and pins 21. Alternatively the latter means may comprise teeth which interengage when a flexible end 12 is threaded through openings in the rigid end. A flexible tie may have apertures to receive the spikes 14 and thereby limit the extent to which the curtain may extend. |
