<p>4-OXO-2-IMIDAZOLIDINYLIDENE UREAS Compounds of the class of 4-oxo-2-imidazolidinylidene ureas of the formula (I) wherein R1 is a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl, preferably hydrogen; R2 is a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and loweralkyl, preferably methyl; R3 is a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and aryl, preferably hydrogen; R4 is a member selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, aryl, and arylalkyl, preferably hydrogen; and Ar is aryl; provided that when R3 and R4 are other 2,6-disubstituted aryl. These compounds have been found useful as anti-secretory agents and central nervous system depressants.</p> |
