The present invention provides a locking device for a rear-driven omnibus-trailer combination having a front section and a trailer section said device being adapted to prevent a maximum angle of deflection between the front section and the trailer being exceeded for a particular angle of lock of said front section during cornering, said device comprising a first sensor for sensing the angle of lock and a second sensor for sensing the angle of deflection, said sensors being connected to a comparator, said comparator being adapted, when a maximum angle of deflection determined by the angle of lock has been roached to actuate an arrester adapted to act in only one direction against the angle of deflection.
