<p>IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO ELECTRON OPTICAL IMAGE TUBES An electron optical image tube of the streaking image tube type for use in providing a visible record of high speed luminous events of short duration is disclosed. The tube includes a photocathode, an accelerating mesh electrode, an anode, and a further mesh electrode spaced between the anode and the accelerating mesh electrode, whereby secondary electrons produced by the accelerating mesh electrode are attracted back to the accelerating mesh electrode.</p> |
