PURPOSE:To suppress the reaction of fluoro-gas and a tungsten core filament with each other so as to permit to stably operate the title counter tube, by forming the anode of the counter tube, out of a specified metal filament. CONSTITUTION:The anode 6 of a BF3 proportional counter tube is formed through the process of plating a tungsten filament with Ni or Cr, or through the process of cladding it with the Ni, and or formed out of a Ni filament or a Ni-Fe-Cr alloy. Although the Ni is easily reacts on fluoro-gas, it forms a strong passivating film on its surface and is hereafter prevented from any further reaction on the fluoro-gas.
