<p>The switch functions in a step-by-step manner for, e.g., motor speed control. A metallic band(21), convex across its width and fixed at both ends, is fed with current at one end. By depressing one of the push-buttons(39, 40, 41) the band is deformed makes contact with one of the spring action contacts(25, 26, 27) which are screwed to the lower contacts(28, 29, 30). To complete a circuit, e.g., the lower contacts may be connected to resistances of different value, each connected to the speed control circuit of a motor, and then back to the convex metallic band.</p> |
