<p>Strip rubber profiles for use as window seals etc. are co-extruded with a partial sheath of a non-compatible rubber which can readily be peeled off the primary strip. The ancillary sheath, which can be used to protect the main strip from damage or contamination, e.g. scratches or paint, during storage and installation, is more durable than e.g. adhesive paper covers, can be applied during extrusion and avoids use of ancillary adhesives. The covers can be as flexible as the base strip for storage in roll or coil form.</p> |
