The pivotable handle-bars have a stock-absorbant mounting and are for use on percussive tools e.g. a tool for breaking concrete. Two handles are provided and project perpendicularly and in opposite directions from the ends of the two lever-arms. The roots of the two lever-arms attach to an axle which transverses the head-casing of the tool. The axle is mounted on annular silencer-blocks and one of the handle bars may incorporate compressed air-feed controls. The tool may comprise a cylinder housing a reciprocating piston and a compressed air-distributor, with the piston engaging a working bit. The axle may comprise a sleeve which is sited in a hole traversing the cylinder-head. The silent-blocks are fixed onto the sleeve, may be of rubber and are themselves externally sleeved. The silent - block-sleeves screw into the cylinder-head and, thus, allow an elastic relative pivoting of the handles.
|
