<p>An agitator assembly for attachment to a topdresser for applying the topdressing material to the ground and dispersing the material from the upper levels of the grass blades to the ground comprises a driving means; an agitator bar; an agitator support; and an agitator. The agitator is supported along a first longitudinal side b y the agitator support while the opposite longitudinal side contacts an underlying terrain with a degree of freedom to move in a vertical direction between the two longitudinal side s. The agitator support is mounted on the agitator bar. The driving means drives th e agitator bar in a substantially horizontal plane parallel to the underlying terrain a nd the agitator bar in turn drives the agitator support and the agitator, whereby the agitat or levels and agitates the topdressing material dispensed by the topdresser from the turf surface to the ground level.</p> |
