<p>The box comprises a base (3) having four sides and a bottom of laths (2) in wood or plastics. The base may be in one piece or readily assembled from its individual parts. The bottom is covered by tent cloth or mosquito netting. A mattress (1) is made of ferns, dried grass and plastic foam and rests on the laths. A metal frame (4) has depending sockets at its corners into which rods are secured, the lower ends of the rods engaging in similar sockets in the base (3). In its dis-assembled state the box takes up a minimum of space.</p> |
