Separation and sealing piece for electrical distribution boxes - uses foam polyurethane sheet enveloping frame onto which boxes are clamped

A separation piece for electrical distribution installation adjacent compartments which have a frame of insulating material with holes in for screws. The walls facing the compartments can be clamped by means of the screws against the sides of the frame after insertion of a sealing strip. The elastic sealing strip consists of a layer of elastomer material(4) which envelopes the frame(2). The strip(4) has sealing edges mouled onto it. The layer(4) is interrupted at the faces which butt up against the screws fixing parts(3). The layer(4) has projections(5) on it which are used for aligning it in between the compartments. The layer(4) may be a sponge of polyurethane whose pores are closed by a surface layer.
