Magnetic disc disc recording system - uses additional disc with spiral guide groove to guide groove to guide read-write head

The recording system is for mechanical or electrical oscillatory functions and uses two discs(A, B) rotating relative to one another at the same speed. One of the discs(A) has a spiral guide groove, while the other disc(B) has a magnetisable layer on both sides, the read/write head for the second disc(B) coupled mechanically to the needle moving along the spiral guide groove on the first disc(A). Pref. a single guide disc can be used for recording or playback of several magnetic discs.
