The casing of the circuit breaker consists of two half-shells which are held together by three rivets(2). There are also two polyester adhesive bands(4, 5), holding the edges of the shells together and one of these bands may be printed or embossed with a descriptive plaque. The adhesive bands cover openings in the casing situated at the level of the thermal and magnetic regulators. By this design, the casing does not risk damage due to increased gas pressure on short-circuit.
