The filling machine has a centering bell (5) which fits over the open top of the can (8). It incorporates a sealing ring (7) which rests on the edge of the can. An air tube (14) projects down from the middle, and the filling opening (3) forms a complete or incomplete circle around the bottom face of the bell. The bottom of the air tube is threaded externally (14) for adjustment, and screws into a tapped hole in a support bracket (10) attached to the bell. The bracket covers only a part of the filling opening, or none, when the opening is an incomplete circle.
