The magnetic tape cassette storage magazine is for use in automobiles and the like, and has a semi-automatic access to facilitate use and protects the tapes from dust and dirt. The storage magazine consists basically of a flat box (1, 2, 3) containing two parallel chain (7, 8) driven sets of cassette holders (14) attached to the chains by suitable pegs (11, 12). Cassettes are pushed into the holders through a slot (6) in the front face of the box, and the next holder, which may or may not contain a cassette, is made available by pushing a button (17) also on the front of the box. This actuates a small motor (18) which drives the chain (7, 8) round to the next cassette position, determined by a microswitch (21) detector.
