A flexible coupling has two non-flexible connecting flanges, a body between them which is flexible, coaxial, rotation-symmetrical and firmly attached to them. Also between the non-flexible flanges, is a non-flexible body, on both sides of the flexible body and which extends inside or outside it. The length of this non-flexible body measured axially is less than that of the flexible body. The non-flexible body (6) by reason of the reduction of the axial clearance between the two shafts connected by the coupling, caused by the radial expansion of the flexible body (3) as a result of rotation, is connected in a limiting capacity to one of the two non-flexible connecting flanges (1, 2) and extends in the direction of the other non-flexible flange (2). It touches the flanges as the body bows outwards.
