The delivery unit for viscous media holds exchangeable containers from which the medium esp. lubricating grease is conveyed to the lubricating point by foot-operation of a piston. During the compression stroke of the piston (2) the movement of the hinge piece (5) holding the piston is limited by a high pressure part (6). During the suction stroke an angled side piece (7) on the part (6) interacts with the hinge piece so that a short limb (8) of the piece (7) is guided in a recess in the piece and prevents the hinge piece from moving further on attaining its initial position.
