Key operated combination cylinder lock - has housing and core with slot for key with coding notches (OE 15.10.78)

The key and lock combination has cylindrical lock operated with flat key. The cylinder housing accommodates a cylinder core rotated relative to this housing. The lock which has housing pins and core pins, is not readily opened in unauthorised manner and the key and lock combination can be used readily in wide variety of central lock systems. The key back has coding marks which act in conjunction with the housing pins (6). These coding marks are in the form of notches (2) or ribs (3). In the region of the coding marks on the key back the cylinder core (10) is provided with slots or blind holes. On using a key with wrong back edge code this key can be readily withdrawn but not used and it is replaced by a correctly coded key.
